Advanced Taping and Introduction to Sports Massage

Advanced Taping (9.30am - 12.30pm)

This 3- hour practical workshop follows on from any taping experience that Sports Trainers may have gained through the Basic Taping Course, or as a practicing Level 1 Sports Trainer. The course is run over three hours and is designed to be as practical as possible. It gives participants the opportunity to learn from Physiotherapists and experienced Sports Trainers, using hands on practice participants will learn advanced taping techniques regularly seen in sport.

Taping techniques demonstrated include but are not limited to: Plantar fasciitis, Achilles, Tendon, Knee, Elbow, Shoulder and Wrist Taping. 

It is a prerequisite that participants complete a Basic Taping Course or equivalent ie. Level 1 ST course prior to completing the Advanced Taping Workshop. 


Sports Massage (1pm - 4pm)

SASMA will be running an introductory sports massage course for sports trainers and those who work with sporting teams and athletes.

During this 3 hour workshop participants will learn practical, effective and easy to apply sports massage techniques and key stretches for optimum recovery. The workshop is aimed at club trainers and team support staff who have a direct hands-on role with the players. 

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance but it is not a Sports Massage qualification.

You will have the option of attending one session or the whole day. When registering please choose the correct option you which to attend.
