Advanced Taping (9.00am - 12.00pm)

This 3- hour practical workshop follows on from any taping experience that Sports Trainers may have gained through the Basic Taping Course, or as a practicing Level 1 Sports Trainer. The course is run over three hours and is designed to be as practical as possible. It gives participants the opportunity to learn from Physiotherapists and experienced Sports Trainers, using hands on practice participants will learn advanced taping techniques regularly seen in sport.

Taping techniques demonstrated include but are not limited to: Plantar fasciitis, Achilles, Tendon, Knee, Elbow, Shoulder and Wrist Taping. 

It is a prerequisite that participants complete a Basic Taping Course or equivalent ie. Level 1 ST course prior to completing the Advanced Taping Workshop.

Concussion Management workshop (12.30pm - 2.00pm)

Management of concussion has changed over the years and is being discussed at the highest levels of sport as to what is the correct management. Most recently, after a meeting in Berlin, Concussion Management strategies and protocols have been updated with new resources now available to Sport.

This workshop will cover:

How to recognise signs and symptoms including delayed concussion

What is the correct management of those who are concussed

What the role of non- medical personnel of the management of concussion

Spinal Management (2.00pm - 5.00pm)

Spinal Management is one of our most popular Sports Trainer Education sessions. The sessions are designed to be as practical as possible. You will have the opportunity to hear from Professionals working in Sport, learning vital skills that will assist in your Sports Trainer role.

The Spinal Management Workshop is a 3 hour session aimed at working Sports Trainers and others involved in the care of athletes.
