SA Sports Medicine Association (SASMA) believes in the importance of re-accreditation to ensure a high standard of immediate care is provided by Sports Trainers, hence the need to keep up to date with the latest information.
SASMA Accreditation lasts for 3 years. There is a 6 month grace period after the expiry date of your Sports Trainer Certificate and failure to re-accredit during that period will require full attendance at a relevant course.
Please send in your completed Re-Accreditation form including your Education Record, Practical Competency and copies of your current Provide First Aid (or equivalent), CPR and Play by the Rules certificates to SASMA.
If your Sports Trainer Accreditation expired between 1 July 2020 and 1 April 2021, then you are eligable for the FAST Education Series and Reaccreditation deal. For $195 you will get access to 7 workshops across the year as well as maintaining your Sports Trainer Accreditation. For more information visit the FAST Education Series page.
Along with the Education Sessions and FAST Conference that SASMA coordinates, many of SASMA's Members and Partner Organisations put on a workshops aimed at Sports Trainers and others working in the sports field. These sessions can be used towards your Sports Trainers Reaccreditation.
