Uni SA Sport Trainer Placement Program

SASMA are excited to support the University of South Australia's Sports Trainer Placement Program again in 2022. 

Students in the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Bachelor of Human Movement have completed 2 years of a 3-year undergraduate degree meaning they have to date completed foundation anatomy, physiology, psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, exercise physiology and exercise prescription subjects.  This placement of a minimum of 30 hours is completed as part of the elective course HLTH 3070 Sport Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation for students in their third and final year of study.

Students are required to complete the 30 hours of placement under the supervision of an accredited Sports Trainer and pass the supervisors evaluation as part of the course assessment requirements which also includes theoretical assessment components completed at University.
