Inviting the sports medicine, and wider sport and recreation community, to join us for the 2026 SASMA Sports Medicine Conference. Our annual Conference brings together a range of Sports Medicine Professionals, Students, Sports Trainers, as well as the wider sporting community for a fantastic day of education and networking.

We are excited to announce keynote speaker, Jane Rooney (Specialist Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist), speaking on ACL Knee Injuries - modern approaches and shared decision making (surgical/non-surgical).
Jane has had a prolific career working in sports medicine, both in Australia and internationally. Notably, Jane has worked as a physiotherapist with Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, and at state, national and international levels in tennis, gymnastics, athletics including triathlon, golf, swimming, netball and cycling. Our annual Conference brings together a range of Sports Medicine Professionals, Students, Sports Trainers, as well as the wider sporting community for a fantastic day of education and networking.
Our 2025 event saw over 145 delegates attend a brilliant event; we are looking to build on this again in 2026!
