Santos Tour Down Under 2018

This year SASMA was involved in the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under (TDU). The Sports Trainers worked on both the Men’s and Women’s Cycling Events assisting the Race Doctors and SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) with providing the medical coverage for the cyclists.
The 2018 Tour Down Under Race Doctors were SASMA Members Dr Bridget Sawyer for the Women’s Tour and Dr Mark Fisher for the Men’s Tour. They were ably assisted by Paula Green and Shane Worner respectively.

We wish to give them a huge congratulations for the hard work the whole team put in throughout the 11 days of the two events. The team was very professional and did a fantastic job! We would like to send a big thank you to everyone involved for their excellent work. Without the support of the Doctors, Sports Trainers and Staff SASMA would not be able to provide such high quality service.
