SMA-SA Members Held in High Regard

SMA-SA Members are continuing to excel across the disciplines and as a result they are being held in high regard and are well sort after across the country. Many SMA-SA Members are working with elite sporting teams and / or are involved in National Committees.

For instance for the 2014 Commonwealth Games members including Keren Faulkner, Dr Mark Fisher, Natalie Tyson and Berthy May are involved in the Medical Support of either the whole Games team or individual sports.

Along with these SMA-SA Members others that are involved at the national level of their sports include:

- David Spurrier and Dr Bridget Sawyer, Swimming
- Ian Scarborough, Beach Volleyball
- Dr James Ilic and Kate Beerworth, Matildas

Many of our members have also been elected to committees and to chair groups across the country. Recently Dr Mark Ralfe was elected the National Chair of Sports Medicine Specific Interest Group with the RACGP.

This is just a snapshot of the sorts of sports and groups that SMA-SA Members are involved with at the national level. Many of our members are involved at lower levels within their community.

SMA-SA are extremely proud of the great work they do for sport and the sporting community. Keep up the great work and we look forward to reading many more success stories over the years to come.
