3 courses, 75 attendees, 2 AFL Head trainers, 3 Sports Physiotherapists, 1 Sports Doctor, 1 Paramedic, 2 Head Trainers and a Nurse - all in a day's work for the SASMA team!
The weekend saw SASMA spread its presence all across South Australia running not one, but two sold out Level 1 Sports Trainer Courses as well as an Advanced Taping and Spinal Management Course in Port Lincoln! Barely time to take a breath....
Here at SASMA we aim to provide the highest level of training we can all whilst exposing you to the best sports medicine personnel there are. This weekend was a prime example of this key goal with 5 Head Trainers including 2 AFL Head Trainers, 3 Sports Physiotherapists, 1 Sports Doctor, 1 Paramedic and a Nurse presenting across these courses. Education is important to SASMA and our members love to teach and pass on their knowledge allowing us to give such great exposure to our Sports Trainers, something not many other organisations are able to do. So a huge thank you not only to our attendees who have no doubt walked away with incredible, invaluable skills and knowledge but to the presenters who were able to assist in making it possible to run not one, not two, but three courses in 1 day across SA.
The South East is next on our hit list with a Level 1 Sports Trainer course being run on Sunday 3 April. This is followed by City of Playford as well as the Adelaide Hills with a Level 1 Sports Trainer Course being held in both regions on Sunday 10th April. There are still a few spots available in all three, however they are expected to sell out in the coming days.
